Blind to Progress (working title) is a memoir about childhood trauma — written honestly, written in real time, and written by someone still in the middle of healing from it. It is not a polished account from someone who has arrived somewhere safe and is looking back. It is the view from inside the journey.
The opening and excerpts from all six parts are available to read here — each edited to around 2,000 words to give you a real sense of the story without overwhelming you. The full memoir, once edited and complete, will be available to members first.

How the memoir is structured
Opening — March 4th, 2023
The night the walls came down. A Saturday alone in a basement suite. The beginning of everything.
Part One — Origins
Saskatoon, early 1980s. A small boy in a front yard, waiting. The early years, the happy ones, and the ones that weren't.
Part Two — The Things That Shaped Me
What home actually felt like. Living next to something that could detonate. The signals you learn to read.
Part Three — Finding My Way
Growing up, getting out, and discovering that leaving a place doesn't mean leaving what happened there.
Part Four — Building and Losing
Marriage, fatherhood, work, and the slow unravelling of things I thought were solid.
Part Five — The Breakdown
March 2023. Everything I had been carrying, all at once. And the door that opened.
Part Six — Still Here
The healing journey. What I've learned, what I've lost, what I've found. Still in progress.
